Great beginners book on modern quilting

Yesterday was mother's day and I am very lucky to have a daughter who loves to celebrate. She gave me a beautiful 'haviksoog', a sort of tiger's eye stone, and this wonderful quilt book.

It's by Malka Dubrawsky and its original title is Fresh quilting. It's colorful, it's modern and is contains relatively easy projects.

Except for a playmat years ago I haven't really quilted before and I love the look of modern quilting. I seriously want to give it a try and it's good that this book takes you through the first steps and onwards. And it leaves plenty of freedom.

Great for busting my stash of bits and pieces of fabric that I find hard to throw away :)
