Pattern
Please note: Work all double and single crochets in between (not on) double crochets in the previous round.
Color A
Rnd 1: Ch 8 and close into a ring with a sl st.
Rnd 2: Ch 3 and dc 19 in the ring. Close with a sl st in the upper chain stitch at the beginning of this round.
Rnd 3: Chain 3 and make a dc before the first double crochet stitch in the round below. Ch 2, make 2 dc in between the second and third double crochet stitches. Repeat these ch 2, dc 2 every second double crochet stitch in the round below. End with ch 2 and a sl st in the upper chain stitch at the beginning of this round. You will now have ten pairs of dc and ten eyelets. Please note: the scheme shows nine petals, but there should be ten. I will adjust the scheme later.
Cut and continue with color B
Rnd 4: Make a sl st in an opening between two dc pairs. Chain 3 and make 3 dc in that same opening. Make 4 dc in every next opening. Close with a sl st in the upper chain stitch at the beginning of this round.
Rnd 5: Make 6 dc between the second and third double crochet stitch in the round below and a sl st between the fourth and fifth. Repeat these 6 dc and sl st nine times between every two double crochet stitches in the round below.
Rnd 6: Make 8 dc between the third and fourth double crochet stitch in the round below and a sl st on the slip stitch in the round below. Repeat these 8 dc and sl st nine times between every third and fourth double crochet stitch and on the slip stitch.
Cut and continue with color A
Rnd 7: Make 7 sc between the eight double crochet stitches of a petal and another very loose sc between the third and fourth double crochet stitch of the fourth round. Repeat these 7 sc and 1 loose sc for every petal of the flower and close with a sl st in the first single crochet stitch of this round.
Scheme
Finish: Weave in ends of and block.
