After celebrating a friends birthday party at Maak my daughter asked me to collect garbage. We now have a large bag filled with plastic, tinfoil, paper and other material mostly coming from the kitchen. Every so often she turns it upside down and starts creating.

I love this bird. When you give my eight year old a DIY package she makes exactly what is shown on the package. This cuckoo that wobbles its head, which is attached to a handmade spring, is such a different thing. It's original, sustainable and above all beautiful. (Says her mother.)
